JOURNAL OF EMDR ASIA (JEA)
About the Journal of EMDR Asia (JEA)
The Journal of EMDR Asia (JEA) is the official peer-reviewed, open-access e-journal of EMDR Asia Association, dedicated to advancing research and clinical practice in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy across Asia. Launched in 2023 under the visionary leadership of EMDR Asia, JEA represents a significant milestone in the region’s psycho-trauma field.
JEA publishes original research, clinical studies, theoretical papers, and case reports that reflect the diverse cultural, historical, and social contexts of trauma in Asia. The journal also serves as a platform to bridge global EMDR knowledge with culturally responsive practices relevant to Asia’s unique challenges and opportunities.
By encouraging scholarly collaboration and evidence-based contributions, JEA aims to:
- Showcase Asia-specific experiences and innovations in EMDR.
- Promote culturally sensitive adaptations of EMDR protocols.
- Highlight the impact of regional belief systems, community dynamics, and historical traumas on therapeutic outcomes.
- Influence mental health policy and trauma-informed care across Asia.
Call for Papers
Published annually, JEA is a testament to the growing strength and unity of EMDR practice in Asia, as well as a tribute to the international collaborations that have nurtured its development.
The journal invites researchers, clinicians, and practitioners from Asia and worldwide to contribute to building a robust body of knowledge that enhances global understanding of EMDR therapy through an Asian lens, through research and theoretical perspectives on EMDR therapy and its application to clinical practice.
