News from countries in Asia
Asia has been very active and unified in the training process. Asian trainers go to other countries of Asia to train and build up the resources of the local Trainers and Consultants in Training in that respective country. India has taken the lead in this regard.
- Dr. Sushma, Dr. Dushyant Bhadlikar & Dr. Parul along with Dr. Shaheen Islam and Dr. Mahjabeen Haque (Bangladesh team) conducted an online training 2023.
- Dr Sushma Mehrotra & Dr. Mrinalini Purandare went to Sri Lanka and conducted trainings for part 1 along with Sri Lankan team of Dr. Janet Nethisinghe, Ms. Indira Weerasinghe and Mr. Navneth Mendis in March,2023.
- Dr. Sushma Mehrotra and Dr. Parul Tank along with Sri Lankan Team conducted a part 2 Training in September 2023.
- Dr Dushyant and Mr Chintan Naik went to Vietnam in Dec 2023 to conduct in person part 1 trainings.
- Dr Parul Tank went to Singapore in April 2024 and conducted offline trainings for part 1 and also a refresher training for the practicing EMDR therapists who were trained in last 10 years.
- Dr. Sushma Mehrotra along with Sri Lanka Team Conducted a Part 1 Training in March 2024.
- Newer EMDR Association countries like Malaysia have taken a lot of initiative and have started teaching traumatology by Sudha Kudva.
- Dr Dushyant and Mr Chintan Naik went to Vietnam July 2024 to conduct in person part 2 trainings.
